Tarpon in NE Florida

Fished the Ancient City King Tournament in St. Augustine this past weekend. We were low on pogies and ran back in around the Vilano Beach area and saw a black blob in the surf. After throwing a cast net we had several hundred mullet. We fished these in 40-50 feet about a mile off shore. Had two Tarpon of about 70 and 100 crash our bait. With the light tackle we didn't land either and couldn't get any decent photos. This is a 27 lb King we weighed on Sunday. 37 took the $$.

Yes we are. Although it may be postponed due to weather. They are calling for 2 - 4 right now but I've heard due to the number of boats the tournament will not take any chances with bad weather.
