Comparative performance numbers
 
Wonder if there is any interest in a comparative performance numbers thread?
Just post your data...No responses. Ask each questions through pm...
Maybe something like this:

Year & Model
Motor yr Make Model HP
Prop Make, Model and material, Diameter and Pitch
Tabs or foil or not
Speed to stay on plane
Best cruise economy mpg/gph @ rpm w/mph
Speed rpm and mpg @ WOT
Personal hole shot satisfaction
Typical load no.riders, fuel, etc

Here's mine:

72 Seafari
83 Merc I-6 115 hp
Mercury Black Max (Al) 13.75" x15P
No tabs
16 mph to stay on plane
2.5 mpg @ 4200 rpm 28mph
1.9 mpg @ 5500 rpm 36 mph
excellent hole-shot
2 riders 40 gal., 22 gal. bait tank, tuna gear for 12 hr day.

1976 20 foot seacraft SF
1997 150 yamaha
14 x 19 yamaha prop
lenco trim tabs
not sure at what speed it stay's on plane
2.53 mpg at 44oo rpms
with 1 rider "Me" 47 gallons of fuel ran 47.2 miles
and used 18.6 gallons
excellant hole shot with out trimtabs with trim tabs it just jumps right up on plane

72 Seafari with '06 Mercury Optimax 90 hp
13"x21" 4B Trophy Plus prop
Cruise 25 mph, at 4000 rpms, WOT 33 mph at 5200 rpms
5.1 mpg @ 4000 rpms/25 mph
3.7 mpg @ 4700 rpms/30 mph
HydroShield skeg-mounted foil/propeller protector (see photo)
Time to fully plane off: 5 seconds
Minimum planing speed: 18 mph
Typical Load: 600 lbs persons (4 adults), 180 lbs fuel, 250 lbs gear (including 3 anchors and anchor rodes).

Just got back from Lake Erie this evening so and I took notice on what the old girl did

81 23' SF CC
Twin 81 225 black max's and a 95 9.9 merc
19P stainless merc stiletto's
Lenco 12x12 tabs (great)
20 knots is about minimum plane speed 2800 rpm's
3800 rpm's best cruise 28 knots near as I can tell 1.5 mpg
6000 rpm's wot (only have the stones to do it for a few seconds to date) hit 57 knots gps and until I get the floscans next spring I have no idea the gallons per minute.
Hole shot...good thing the leaning psot is secured well.
Typical load is about anything I want to haul on her, she'll haul 5 guys and gear just as easily as when I'm by myself. Only the 2nd season with her and the boat amazes me.

Usually run 2800/24mph @ 9.2gph
WOT 3800/32mph @ 16.4gph
Load: 2 adults, ½ tank fuel (50 gal?) Loaded for fishing

to stay on plane, 12 mph with tabs,and one person 13-14 with 3
typical load, 3-4 adults, 4 downriggers, outriggers,planer mast, aluminum top, 80 gallons petrol.
