Re: Boston Harbor

I was fishing off the graves til about 2 yesterday and when I was pulling my boat out of the parking lot I saw
a red seafari being trailered in. I had just spoke to the owner this week at the dock, nice guy, My prayers go out.

The fellow who was found unresponsive has been identified as John Burke, 47, of Weymouth, MA. Does anyone know this fellow and is he a member of CSC? He was either the owner or a passenger on a 20' Seafari.

Thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

John Burke was a passenger. I know him and his family. This is the second child his father has lost.

Tragic

Re: Boston Harbor

I was fishing along the shore near the Swampscott/Marblehead town lines in another person's boat this AM and saw a red Safari hung up on some rocks, leaning up against a concrete seawall. Based on the pic's in the news thread attached to this post, I'm pretty sure it was the boat involved in the accident. Local officials in Swampscott were informed about the boat and I was told that someone was planning on getting the boat off of the rocks at low tide later today.

Any chance that was the red Seafari that used to belong to Old Blues Player? He had a 115 Johnson on it, but I couldn't tell from the pictures what sort of motor was on the one that sank.

Re: Boston Harbor

The boat I saw had a blue outboard, probably an Evinrude. It matched the picture in the first post (above), right down to the small American flag on the starboard side VHF antenna.
