Have a friend who is kicking the idea around of buying a pair of 300 yamaha 4 strokes. Anybody have an info on these engines?

If he puts them on the back of a 23' SeaCraft, he will have one F A S T boat!! maybe 75 mph.? They would have to be on a bracket with A LOT of floation! That would be one BA SeaCraft.

Last I heard they were over 800 lbs each.

My Seavette suffered from stern squat with twin 225s that weighed 720 lbs combined. 68 mph though.

He will need a half ton of flotation, a huge boat insurance policy, and should revisit his life insurance policy :D

Hold on - I thinks I hear ESD typing...
He Says "GO FOR IT! THAT thing will fly " - or sink ;)

Nope, that's the 350 hp V8's at 822 lbs. The 300 4S is only 562 lbs.

Sorry to say guys but they may be going on 31 ocean master, not a seacraft. But would still like any info on these engines, if any.
