center console

The screws on the port side of the center console securing the console to the deck are stripped out.The deck seems sound in that area.Does any one have any suggestions about the best way to go about repairing this.

Would you say that this six-ten is good for patching old holes in the transom from previous transducer mounts, etc? I see a lot of 5200 being used there. This sounds like a more permanent fix.

Yep! It is a neat product...a little pricey for big jobs, but the stuff does work. I try not to use the static tool unless I need to lay down a nice fillet or long run.

Most West Marine stores have it...Or James Town Distributors.

Terry,
Do you have to clean the static tool after each use to keep it from plugging with set up epoxy?

Blue from what I read...yes, you have to clean it out or they sell additional static tips, so you can just replace the tips.

I have not tried to clean the tips...if anyone has a suggestion on how please post.

The extra tips are couple of bucks each.
