Looking to buy a 1970 bracketed 20. Pics.
 

I am hoping to trade my current ride for this Seacraft. 1970 20' CC. Bracketed, closed transom, raised decks, new stringers, new console. Yamaha 225 2 stroke. Motor weight and bracket are a little concerning. Not so much to worry seeing that the deck has been raised?

Does anyone here know this boat? Or know who put it together? The current owner says it was built by a known guy who does Seacraft rebuilds. I believe him, but he doesnt have much info on the boat.

It isn't a Seacraft. It's a Barcone. You should edit the link out otherwise this post is probably going to get deleted again since you have to pay to have an ad on this site and this is free advertisement for the seller.

Check out this link: Barcone

That is a Barcone and you can see the similarities. The front casting platform, gunnels, rear boxes, etc. Since the guy selling it on the other site doesn't show a shot of the transom you can't see that it doesn't have the SeaCraft variable deadrise hull, which makes a SeaCraft a SeaCraft.

Barcone hulls were actually made by Continental Boats, and were made in nominal 19', 21', and 24' lengths. They even made a copy of the 20' Seafari, but the hull only had two variable deadrise panels per side, not the three panels found on all but a few SeaCrafts.

(SeaCraft did make a racing hull with only two VDH panels per side, I think it was 28' long. It was never produced commercially. There was a thread on that a few months back)
