28' SC, Silverhawk Plug
|
Re: 28' SC, Silverhawk Plug
I saw that, very interesting. I wonder what the deal is with this... like is it an older mold or what? Don't the new larger silverhawks have built in brackets so maybe its an older one?

Re: 28' SC, Silverhawk Plug
For all purposes it looks like a 24 hull lengthened. Still tons of work with rigging and finish work. I bet that hull with a bracket and twin 225's would be everything the 32' isn't.

Re: 28' SC, Silverhawk Plug
Any takers on buying it, making the mold for a 23(or 24) AND a 28 and reinstating SeaCraft to its former glory???

Re: 28' SC, Silverhawk Plug
I asked about it, it is the Plug for a 28, Scott from Silverhawk indicated they are moving to a new location and getting rid of some stuff. they must have made a new plug for the new 28's, he said the Jack-shafted Diesel would be ready for the Boston show, thats what I wanted to see.

Re: 28' SC, Silverhawk Plug
Yes, that was the part that was used to make the mold for the 28. It is made up of a 24 hull that was cut and stretch and had a shearline added to it. It is heavy but would make a great boat for someone who wanted to finish it. The guys are cleaning up the year to make room and what to see it go to a good home, rather them cuting it up.

Re: 28' SC, Silverhawk Plug
Surprised it wasn't listed here, seems like that hull in that proportion would run like a champ. You could go nuts with that thing, teak deck, teak covering & coaming in the rear, rybo style center console helm, full length toerail, single diesel would be my preference.
I need more room. |
