removed stickers/how to clean up hull?
 

hello everybody im new to the fourm now that i finally got my seacraft .. its a 1989 18cc and i am so happy with it but i did not like the tracker stickers so i removed them .my question to you guys is whats the best way too make it not show ? i figuer wet sand and buff it out but i hav no idea haha. so please guys give me some advice i love the site and im deff... hooked now i got the seacraft thanks william

If it's just residue from the glue you can take it off with acetone or some other solvent. If the sun has faded the surrounding gel-coat then try a rubbing compound and if that doesn't work, wet sand with very fine paper and wax.Sometimes the sun has "branded" the name on and paint or gel-coat is the only way.

3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner is the best product I have ever used for removing stickers and residue. The qt. is #08984, it's about $20 and goes a long way. This stuff is my favorite solvent if that's possible. Some guys make there own it's alcohol, tuolene, and xylene I think. I dunno I'd have to check.

Partially true...a lot of times after the removal of the decal if you let the sun work on the area that was cleaned up it will fade the brand out until you can hardly see it. Depending on where you live it can take a few months to a year.

i got the stickers off now i have some old glue thats dose ont want too come off no matter what. now in scraed too wet sand it cause the hull is in such perfect shape ha.
