1973 23 First time project

So, she strted reasonably nice and will be fantastic in 90 days. I started by knowing the decks and hull needed paint, the best way is a complete teardown right? Now it's asickness! Everything's going to get revamped. New hardtop, new metal work, new wiring, electronics, lights, revamp bracket, replace transom, paint everything and reassemble. A quick 2 week project just turned into 90 days of hard work! Good news is that teardown only took 2 days!

Re: 1973 23 First time project

Thanks Strick! This is a weekend only project for me and is, as all projects do, expanding at a rapid rate. Took a good look at the delamination in the transom and strated removing the skin. Turns out the plywood core the was "replaced with Koosa" was really still a plywood core with the lowest 4 inches replaced with Koosa. Its all gotta go and quick. So out came the grinders, air chisels and pry bars. 4 hours later and we only had half removed. Next weekend remove the remainder of the core and start laying in the new true Koosa 3/4" and vacuum bag it!
