sceptre parts wanted
Does anybody have the ladder mounts for the side of the boat or a ladder or junk ladder laying around? I broke the right stringer after a freak accident and the ladder proves pretty handy for the old guys I take with me on occasion.
Also I have a hole in the front deck of my boat directly behind the windlass. I got a bracket (threaded rod) that the owner used to lift it off the trailer. It attaches to the bow eye in the anchor locker. Anyway I have a hole in the boat now and the threaded rod just falls into the hole. Is there a plug or something to cover the hole when the rod is not in there?? I could make something to cover it but after the oem look. it appears to be a factory hole. |
Re: sceptre parts wanted
DAMN ! Just a month or so ago, I threw away all my ladder parts ( I had two OEM, foldable ladders that broke in various places ). I had them sitting for years. I removed the teak treads and out they went ! Someone on the site actually made me a replacment ladder out of wood that is PERFECT. It is the nicest replacement I have ever seen. I had the same hole in the bow - I removed the threaded rod and taped the hole from below - then layed in a fiberglass paste (DuraGlass) and gelcoat - the top is not cosmetically finished the way it should be ( non skid ) - but it's water tight and solid. |

Figures, I am always too late on the ladder parts. :) :) Ya remember who made the ladder, or do you have some pics of it?? |
Re: sceptre parts wanted
I remember your posts on a replacement but not sure I saw the resulting ladder...
Could you post a couple of pics or direct me to a link? Thanks. - Gillie |
