Non skid removal

Ok so what is the best way to remove non skid from my floor? I bought a d/a sander. 40- 320 grit paper with a vacuum attatchment. Pretty sure I will go on a killing spree before I m finished taking it off with that.

Rougher grit? Different sander/grinder??

Thanks

I use a 8" dewalt variable speed grinder/sander, with some 40grit or so. Will take it right off. Finish up with some 80grit.

ditto that. Any grinder with a flap disk or sanding attachment will burn through any fiberglass/paint in a hurry.

A side grinder might take it off faster, but a good belt sander will leave a surface that needs less fairing. I used a Porter Cable 4"x24" with a 36 grit belt.

ITS DONE!!!!!

I have to say that the belt sander worked okay, but I think I bought the town out of belts yesterday.

I got to thinking about it and went to the shop and got my concrete grinder. Wow! 2 1/2 hours and it was all done. No dust, no mess, just done and smooth. :D :D :D
