Hi Rich,

This price is a steal and I'm getting ready to order one. I'm wondering about the battery replacement service. I know the battery life is 5-years. Is it 5-years after the device is manufactured or 5-years after it's turned on for the first time?

Also, how long after purchase will ACR honor the replacement coupon?

I spoke with ACR this morning. Here is what happens. When they manufacture each unit and install the battery they record the date of install. The clock starts ticking at that point. The actual coverage is 5 years and 4 months from the date they install the battery in the unit. They figure that any dealer that takes delivery of a unit will sell it in a 4 month time frame.
