Re: Fuel Mileage
I had a 23' pennyan with a single 305 and got about 3 mpg at cruise, very heavy boat for a 23 footer. Mileage was about that if I could stay below 34 or 3500 rpms after that the four barrel kicked in and you know what happens then. Your likely get between 1.7 and 2 depending on load and sea conditions.

Re: Fuel Mileage
Sorry if Im on the wrong web site I googled the boat I was looking at and your site was one of the ones that came up just trying to get some input before buying.
Thanks |
Re: Fuel Mileage
Not a prob, valid question, Chucks just grumpy. :D
I was kinda interested in the answer myself. |
Re: Fuel Mileage
Not quite the same. But in a 350 cid Chevy. I got 8 gph cruising, and 6 gph combined. This was on two different boats. One was a planning hull and the other was semi displacement. ;)

Re: Fuel Mileage
mulleteater,
Try the Seabird owner's site - http://users.boardnation.com/~badger. I'm a former Seabird 23' owner and the traffic on that site isn't too frequent so I wouldn't expect an answer too quickly. You may also want to post on The Hull Truth. |
