Bottom paint removal

This subject comes up alot, I saw on FS that a guy had it done with a mobile guy and he used crushed walnuts. This was in Orlando but the customer was thrilled as it didn't tear up the gel coat bad at all and made prep pretty easy. Thought I would pass it along

I've used walnut shells to blast turbine rotors. Is a very non-aggressive blast medium. Very suitable for boat bottoms but not readily available.

Just passing it on, as I have never had to do it, but it comes up often
