my project on hold

After using a sledge hammer to free a seized lift and paying Seatow 200 bucks for a 1/4 mile hip tow to the ramp and my new #7000 aluminum trailer i had her home. This '73 23 sf sat on a lift and in the water un used for over 2 years and it was in bad shape. After de-rigging, fuel tank removal and selling the twin '95 225 evinrudes, t-top and leaning post and removing a wet transom it was ready for Mike at Wildfire Marine. The pics are the result of his fine work and my hard earned money. Then the economy took a s--t and now she sits under a tarp looking just like it did when i got it home more than 3 years ago. I have the cash to complete it but until things improve i can't justify spending that much money on a new 300 E-TEC, electronics, gear and all the CG equiptment SO I CAN KILL SOME FISH. Maybe i shoud stop watching Glenn Beck and buy another thousand rounds for my SW MP15 finish the boat and hope for the best. Anyway i think i'll name her FOR SAIL but she will never be for sale. I hope photobucket works because i've never done this posting stuff before. Also i did not have digital pics before restoration. http://s1181.photobucket.com/albums/x424/73superfish/ P.S Hows that hope and change working for ya'll.

Amen brother!!!!! Never for sale!!! Just too damn beautiful as she is, keep up the faith! When you are done add up what you have into a very special hull versus what it would cost to buy some new overpriced POS 23'er that's out there today. Maybe some stimulus money from the big "O" would help?? Good luck!

thanks for posting pics, thanks one day i'll get it wet. mike explained how he normaly put an access hatch in the fishbox but i insisted on a seperate hatch in the deck for bildge access. i stopped by the shop on day and mike was sitting in the fishbox wiring the bildge pumps. he told me that he was going to suggest that configuration to others. really gives a lot of room for anything you need to do in the bildge.
