Like to see some pictures on where you all have mounted your battery switch.

Thanks,

Terry - Ease of access was the prime criteria for me, so I put mine in back corner of cocpit where it's also close to the batteries. Also easy to reach from outside when it's on the trailer. Denny

I have a Tsunami I/O and placed the batteries in the in deck bait/fish box that is in between the fuel tank and the front of the I/O box.
I have both batteries and the switch mounted in it with a hinged watertight hatch cover over it.
Works good for me,easy to get to and not a drop of water gets in it.
I only have a crummy picture of it when it was unfinished but here it is.
The finished pic shows the cover in the closed position (in front of the 2 rod holders)

Terry looking good! Batteries look like they ain't movin'...good choice I thinks... look just like my Trans-continental brand... get the price you were hoping for?

My battery switches are not in good locations and although I've thought about moving them (a lot when rewiring the Seafari)they remain where they where.

The Seafari switch is on the forward wall of the aft starboard seat hatch - it's ok because I can reach it from inside or outside of the boat. I have one battery in each aft locker.

On the 21 the switch is mounted in the fore end of engine compartment (lower right of picture). I don't like that either but it does force you to vent the engine well. Batteries are in the well to right in photo.

I like the accessibility of Denny's switch but would not be comfortable with it that low lest it get kicked by someone trying to keep their balance while rods are bent...nor do I like it exposed. A little switch box on the transom or gunwale would be ideal for me. I think Strick used such a box on his center console restoration and I thought that was a really good idea.

Hey Terry,

Our switch is mounted on the transom (top left side in pic). It's a little inconvenient but I agree with Gillie, it does force you to vent the box.

The boat is coming along really nice. I look forward to your progress.

Brandon
