Deck Drains 1985 Sceptre

What a tough place to get to! Any advice on the best way to change the hoses and the cheap thru hull fitting?

Jack,

I've got the same boat, '85 Scepter. I have thought about doing the same thing, but have not indentified it as being a source of water, YET! I have a few thoughts that probably aren't worth everone's time. Give me a call at 978-363-5161 sometime, but not tonight! I'm bushed.

I have an '85 as well. I changed out the port side hose as it looked pretty worn down but after i had it out i didn't see a need to change the starboard side. I pretty much had to do a head stand thru the storage locker to remove (I just cut the old hose with a knife) and reinstall. The reinstall was a lot more difficult. The stock hose was really rigid but I don't think I needed to change it after all.
