Trim Tabs

Hi
I have a Potter 1976 23 with a 300HP Yamaha on an Armstrong transom. Question: Will trim tabs improve performance &/or economy?

Think of them as an American Express card; "Don't leave home without it!!" or Fram filters; "Pay me now or pay me later!"
