Dolphin warning for the Keys
For those who might be heading to the Keys to do some dolphin fishing....fair warning.....for whatever reason the "marine patrol" is really on the lookout for undersize fish, fish cleaned on the boat or even using the blood line of dolphin as "chunk bait". I've had two friends come back with horror stories of open water searches and fines for various reasons. Be careful!!!

Re: Dolphin warning for the Keys
I was down in the middle keys approx 2-3 weeks ago and the place was covered with small fish. We ended up keeping just 4 fish over the week because they all were border line in size. We drove by several schools of 100 to 150 fish per school, could have filled the boat with these small shakers but thats not my style. We ended up fishing on the edge of the reef and catching snapper and grouper for dinner every day we fished instead of taking fish that no one would be proud of.
