88 Sea Craft /Tracker W/A Fuel Tank Removal
I am trying to remove the fuel tank from my above boat. I have never had the boat in the water but before doing so, I would like to install a new tank. My problem is the tank is 8' long with a 4' access panel and extends beyond the cabin area. It looks to be the original equipment as the boat appears to be built around the sucker. I'm coming up with 3 different options. Since it does not appear that I can get enough tilt from the tank, I can 1: remove the 200 Hp Yammy to reduce the angle of the tank for removal. 2: Cut the upper deck for more access to the tank. 3: Cut and collapse the tank in portions as I slide it back to remove.
Any other idea will be greatly appreciated. Thanks http://IMG_0202.JPG [image]IMG_0202.JPG[/image] |

allways easier to cut the deck for full access - this allows you to set the tank properly...
most of the tanks i repalce, the deck requires cutting... |
