Not the Bahamas

Since I live in N. California I have to make due with what we have up here so Lisa and I took a 4 day trip to lake Shasta last week. We rented a cabin on the Lake and explored some of its 365 miles of rugged shore line. Lake Shasta is the largest reservoir in California. Water temp was 77 degrees which was great for swimming.

I had not been on a boat for almost 8 months so it was good to get out. The little 20 is a great ride for these types of trips.

:D I dont think there is anywhere in N. California that has ever seen 85 degree water! But that does sound nice. A couple years ago we went to Lake Powell and the water temp was in the 60's which was a little cold but we swam anyway.

The leaning post/livewell was custom built by a guy that builds only one or two every 5 years.

I can smell the pine trees and the warm, dry air just from those pictures! Drove from Arcata to Redding a couple times, some amazing scenery in that part of the country.

Shasta reminds me very much of Lake Chelan in eastern Washington that we use to boat on many years ago.

You say "Crappy" We say "Croppy" ;)

Always a good time when on the water :D

Strick,
That looked like a great place to get away to ... a little R&R, time for yourselves, beautiful scenery and your boat.
Life can be great!

Looks awesome!
I have family in Carmel , it is very beautiful in northern Cali!
Love the picture of the trolling motor on the boat. I would love to see all the guys on the flats in the keys when you power by them!
