HIN meaning
 
I found a sea craft on a boat lot hin sxcra509k001 .I know the year is 01 and its a center console outboard merc 225 hp.
But what dose the rest mean.

The SXC would be the manufacturers ID code which can be looked up on the USCG web site. i looked it up and it shows that it is a seacraft built by tracker. I believe the 4th and 5th letters would be the model. the 509 i think means its the 509th built. and the K would mean built in november.
but hopefully one of the more expirienced members can verify that info.good luck

basically it should mean its a 2001 23 seacraft built by tracker marine.

Thanks for the info . They have it listed as a 21 but it seems bigger. They had a guy looking so if he knows sea crafts its gone.
