225 Optimax

I have an '03 225 optimax and yesterday I went out. When I tilted the motor down I noticed oil leaking from the external oil line. The hose got pinched in the steering when I trimmed it up. I fixed the hose and headed out. About half an hour later i get 4 beeps. I called the dealership and they said it was low oil alarm and to check the internal oil tank, it was about 2/3 full. I wasn't able to fill it there so I ran it in at 6-8mph for about an hour. I shut it off then restarted it to see if the alarm would reset. I ran it for about 10 mins and it started to beep again. I topped it off today and went to start it and it began turning over then made a clang noise. Then I tried it again and it wouldn't turn over. The starter was also loose and I tightened it but still nothing. I also noticed oil leaking from the lower unit but not sure exactly where. It smelled like gear oil. Does anyone have an idea?
thanks, joe Reen
