anchor stowage ideas for 23 cc

I am on my second potter 23 cc , and my last one had the anchor mount on the bow, my new one has all pop up hardware and don't want to clutter it up and mess up fly fishing and cast netting space. Any ideas? i have been thinking about molding in a vertical anchor stow in the cap at the bow. Anybody that has done this i would love some feedback and pics. thanks in advance.

I will be making something like that (vertical anchor storage) on my 23CC. Its something I have left to the end to figure out, but there its going to be a pretty tight fit vertically. I will probably have to hang the anchor on "hooks" up forward of the hole i have cut, so that there is enough room for the anchor to hang without hitting the bottom of the well.

this is what my anchor compartment looks like...

I did take measurement of a traditional vertical anchor storage set up, and there was just no way it was going to work on my SC, the space just is not deep enough (unless you use a short anchor)

thanks for feedback , there really isn't a lot of room, have you sourced a good hanging system or are you gonna build it.

going to have to build it. Picking up an anchor today so that I can make it to fit it. I have to position the anchor in there to see how far up the "hooks" have to be. The anchors are about 24", plus room for chain/rode - its going to be tight! :) But its worth it, i do not want a anchor mounted on my deck.

I will try to remember to post some pictures of what I figure out

i would love to see what you come up with.

here is a picture of what I have come up with. In the picture they are upside down, the flange part gets epoxied to the underside of the deck/cap. Just enough room to still mount a pull up cleat on the bow and give a few inches of space at the bottom. I will probably still have a tight fit for the anchor rode, may have to put some of it in the storage compartment below.
