How do you ??

On the old forum if you wanted to post a link to another web page you would use a url and then it would ask you for a name. ETC. classicseacraft.com.

classicseacraft.com

Then you could type in Old Seacraft. When the post would show up all you would see is Old Seacraft and not the web address.

How do you do that with this system?

looks like you did it?

the new forum automatically makes a url a link no need to code

Not really. I guess what I meant was...on the old forum you would type in the url. Lets say the url was genuinedealz.com. But when you typed it in the pop would than ask you a question. You could then type in Wiring Supplier. Then the thing showing up in your reply would be Wiring Supplier...not genuinedealz.com.

The reason I liked that is sometime the url address is so non descriptive. Like who would really think the above is a great place to get wiring.

Does what I am trying to convey make sense

To insert a URL link, click post reply to bring up the text editor. Type whatever text you want, then go back and highlight the selection you would like to make a link. Click the little globe with a paperclip icon above the text edit box. This will bring up a window where you can type your URL. The selected text will then become a click link.

Example: This is a cool place to learn all about SeaCraft boats.

Hope this helps. :)

Still stumped on click link

Thanks Valiant one, example: cool seacraft site P.S.once you hit "post reply" you may have to click on "quick links" to edit your editing capabilities. Put it on advanced and you'll see the globe and paperclip, gremlins, etc...
