a few firsts.

A couple of hunting pics. This is my boys second year hunting but his first duck/goose hunting. The pheasants took it pretty hard last winter so I decided instead of walking a couple miles for one bird we would go after waterfowl instead till the crops are out.

This first one has a couple of firsts.
1. First duck
2. First "surprise" flying take down.

Second shot.

Next weekend, first one shot double.

More fun to watch than it ever is to shoot something that's for sure. :) :) :)

On the bill for next year...Antelope and possibly mule deer.

I'm starting to run out of new things for him to kill.

The geese in the backround are very well trained.

Love me some roasted duck.

When I was in Vt, the turkey population had exploded. Glad to see the next generation enjoying the hunt.

Yes they are. ;)

The dog looks pretty calm in the pic. I should have got one of me putting a headlock on her when the first flock came over. :)

Floorboy,Congrats to you and your son, those are some nice birds, and deer as well.nice looking lab.You have some nice country there.Even nicer is that father and son time, there's not enough of that today.

I'm inundated with Turkeys in my yard.At first they were fun to watch, but now they roost in all the trees in my yard, and crap all over my truck.
This picture is what its like most of the time, hell,I could blast them right from my recliner if the window could open.Had 13 deer in the same place last saturaday.Maybe I should get back into hunting.

WE have some town turkeys here. Although they seem like the stupidest bird in the world they aren't stupid enough to come into my backyard like that or there would be a few less of them when I am done, We have no "official" turkey season in this county.

Boy got a couple more deer last weekend. Bucks are tough to come by this year....
