Sceptre Denied

I had plans to get a 1976 Sceptre 23. That deal went through when the seller decided he couldn't part with the boat. Is there something close to the Sceptre?

There's nothing really like a Sceptre. A 20 Seafari is a cool boat that has a front cabin. 20 ft vs. 23ft. The prices and availability of the Seafari are pretty decent! Ask forum member Bushwacker about his Seafari. You can do a search for that user ID to send him a message.

They are mighty rare, but the 25 Seafari is a fabulous boat. (Ok, so I'm a little biased about mine). Much bigger cabin and rides a little better into a sea than a Septre.

You can find the lines and specs on this site.

Nothing close but they are around and actually don't bring the CC $. Was my favorite SeaCraft after I got 300HP on it, didn't like it with 150 twins as much. The weight distribution on them will carry more weight from the newer engines too - my V8 came in at 650+ and was fine.

Don't forget that the Sceptre was first called the Tsunami. So a boat by either name is the same.
