saw this 23 when i was in the keys last week
 

So i was in the keys last week. we stayed just south of the 7 mile bridge and wifes family friends stayed at the RVcamp right off 7 mile. Went out to the dock to go fish and spotted this 23 sitting at the dock. But couldnt find the owner.

Is it me or does that boat look to be sitting low in the water and ass heavy?

I also think it is sitting low. The picture is hard to make out but the bracket might be a non flotation type
coupled with the extra weight of twins would dip the ass end for sure. Notice the forward lifting strake is out of the water.

Both Snookerd's & Briguy's 23's had twins but I don't remember how they sat in the water.



I know there is a big difference with a floation bracket & a single engine on a 23'.

Big difference. Your water line is parallel with the water, his is angled up at the bow. His boat looks like its digging out of the hole sitting at the dock and his lower bilge pump out hole is only about 6 inches above the water.

Yeah, Yamaha four stroke twins on an Armstrong bracket with all that weight of the tower, it sure does "squat" a bit. However at 300hp total it should get back to level quick. :)

Yea Chuck my 23 was never that low. My limited floatation Armstrong bracket 445 lbs X 2 225 Mercs, floated much better. I only used my console tanks. I bet money that his tank(s) are full also. I would not go back to twins, single 250 like you have w/ the right bracket-Sea Mark / Hermco

Your cheating with that picture as we were rock'in fore & aft.

Remember the bikini clad girls in the dark green 23'? If you recall it took 4 of us over 30 mins to anchor that boat up :p:D:eek::rolleyes:

There ain't nothing wrong with a couple ladies trying set a Fortress alum anchor with zero chain but a cooler full of Heinekens;)!
