bottom paint

I have a question for csc members. I've just started to get the boat ready for the up coming fishing season, putting on a pilot house and striping the hull and barrier coating, when i get ready to bottom paint what is the best look, a straight line from stern to bow or should i follow the contour in the front so that the paint curves up

GREAT question. I prefer the straight look, at least on the larger boats like trawlers of the 40-50 foot variety. I think it would work on the smaller boats as well, but alas, it's easier/cheaper to simply follow the the chine line.

I will be interested in the summary opinion of the group as well, though I believe I will follow the straight forward from the stern, two inches above the water line when I get to it.
