'84 23 Screaming deal...no?

I have no connection to the boat but, at $19k, have the feeling I am missing something.

There is an '84 23' with a closed transom (actually, looking at the cap I think it once was in IB or an I/O), a bracket and twin 150 ox66s for $18,900.

The boat is not perfect, but looks pretty clean. Obviously, no matter what you do it will never be a true Potter Classic. But, if the engines are running and they have decent compression (maybe a big if) and if, the transom is not rotted out (since this looks like it was IB or I/O I hope less of an if) isn't this a screaming deal? What am I missing?

Clean it up and you are up and running in a 2x150 2s 23' for less than $25k. No?

Anyone know the boat? I have family that will be in the area in a couple of weeks and might need to send them by the check it out. Not looking to buy just yet...just not sure I can afford to pass this up.

uh oh...another screamin deal, and closer to home. Time to make sure I have got everyting squared away for "the ask" at home...with deals like this maybe it's better to apply "the ask" to forgiveness rather than permission.
