Erik's Seafari? Here we go again!
Hey everybody...so....I was trolling Craigslist a few minutes ago for boats and I see a 1979 Seafari...I notice that the listing looks familiar. Then I see IT'S THE ONE I LOOKED AT! However, it went from $5999 to $6999! I emailed and sent a text offering him $4000. I'll call him tomorrow. I'll advise! :) :(

Back in the day there was a public service announcement; punch line went something like: "why do you think they call it dope?"
Who does this guy think he is? Peter Minuit? No offense Kenny, if you're lurkin', but get off the scooby snacks, bro' - you've got a 33 year old boat and 20+ y.o. motah of 45 y.o technology. The economy is still suspect and there are a gillion boats around. Poor kid's looking at Aquasports and Cruisers, Inc., for crying out loud. Give the kid a break, do yourself a favor, and take the 4k. I can all but guarantee you won't get more (I mean there's a sucker born every minute but...) Quit being a "hump." And may God pay you back for your generosity... I don't normally take pot shots but, COME ON, MAN:confused: Good luck Erik, but don't get hung up - there'll be 5 more posted within a hundred miles between now and last day of school. |
Coubiesnax coubiesnax!
Yikes Shaggy! Ehehehehehehhehe |
You guys are too funny! I walked away from that Cruisers (too many horror stories). The Aquasport I saw yesterday was too much of a project. I'm looking at a 1987 24' Columbia II Sea Skiff with a 350 inboard today and possibly a 22' Larson with an 8 cylinder inboard rebuilt (of course) this week too. The Colombia was made on Long Island and has a great ride (probably not as good as Seacraft :D) but it's got a great rep. I'll see what happens. Bottom line, as long as it's solid and safe for my wife and 2 year old son, it will work. Plus, the Columbia has a Steiger Craft feel. Not bad. I'll advise. Thanks and have a great day. :D

A fool and slimy, to boot. Run from that one.
