PreVal Sprayer - Thinning Gelcoat

Hi there, doing some touchups on the boat. Specifically I ground out a few gelcoat cracks filled with bondo sanded smooth. Process came out great.

I bought a preval sprayer, very cool. I will def. test its operation but thought I'd ask here first.

Question: They recommend thinning Gelcoat for use in the preval. I will prob. just be doing small batches, maybe 3 oz's at a time max, how much do you think I should thin? Also is the recommended thinning agent acetone?

Second - in the past my gelcoat jobs remained tacky for what seemed like an eternity. (70 degree garage) How do I get it to dry quicker? I've read about spraying on mold release. Again wanted to ask here.

Many thanks guys for your advice and guidance!
