1971 20' Starting Re-Build
 

Here's some of the "befores". I was told this boat once belonged to Jack Niclaus. He gave it to his boat Captain, who then gave it to his son, who then sold it with a house. I bought it from the guy who bought the house.

It was stored in a garage/ boat house beneath the house.

Yeah, I don't know why that is that way.

I don't think it was ever modified. I'm going to enclose it and make it an anchor locker. Putting a bulkhead there will also make that gunnel cap less flexible (although amazingly, it doesn't flex when you stand on it).

It Very well could be Jack's Boat...been a long time...I went to school with his son Gary at the Benjamin School..used to tool down in my Boston Whaler to his house and neighbors house..and they had a Seacraft...Lost Tree Village off of Little Lake Worth.

Here's some more pics.

Console rough-ed in, and gunnel caps replaces 2/3's of way back.

Don't panic...I know console is asymmetrical. I'm going to have surface mounted "spinnning rod" rod holders (with notches in top) on port side, and the recessed ("gimbal style") rod holders on starboard side.Besides, you'll never see her from this angle.

Leaning post will be a livewell (similar to Hammerhead Livewells.com). Low with cushion atop. No windshield.

I really liked the old-school wide seat in front of the console, and kept it "as is". Only tapered the front corners to match the lines of the boat.
