Leaning Post or Original Bench Seat?

1 Attachment(s)
Getting ready to paint, should I switch to a leaning post or paint/fix up my bench seat? Any ideas or suggestions? I use the boat mainly for family fun right now, so the bench seat comes in handy for storage and seating. If I keep the bench seat, anyone have any photos of yours? I'm having trouble deciding what to do with the back rest (I've got 2x4's now) and how to secure it to the boat (using cooler tie downs now).

i love my leaning post, but if your short on storage i wouldnt change. and if your not realy serious about fishing your boat than i wouldnt spend the money.theirs days ive standing so long i wish i had your bench in the boat.

Ditto

Cooler cushion on the seat, foam/vinyl on the back rest and press on!

Let your wants and needs guide your design.

I sit. I spin. I slide forward and the controls fall to hand.

I like mine in my 18 - maybe spend the money for a couple teak pieces, you might even find an old seat cheaper. Try to find a cooler cushion, I just had my console cushions done almost could have bought half a hull for that $
