It breaks my heart, but she needs more time and attention than I can do. Very usable condition, but completely un-restored sweetheart.

1972 Seafari 20', 2006 Mercury 90 hp Optimax, 1989 Magic Trail 1921T 3.5K tandem trailer (w/o brakes). Motor runs very well, and gets up to 5.7 mpg at 22 mph, and has about 150 original hours. The on-board computer will say it has fewer total hours, but it's been replaced.

28 gal fuel tank and steering replaced in 2004; transom re-cored in 1985, but is still only a 20" transom. No flex in it, but still 27 years old, and should be rebuilt. I noticed this morning that the cabin bulkheads also need replaced. Boat hasn't seen regular use since last July. I climbed on today, and realized the upholstery stitching on the 4 year old hi-pedestal lounge seats was rotten, and the bolsters had rotted, too. The deck has one small 9"-12" known soft spot, but should be examined carefully. The bottom is painted, and needs sanded and repainted. There are several layers of bottom paint, as I generally sand before painting to ensure adhesion, and do not sand down to gelcoat before repainting. Last bottom paint is 4 year old Petit Trinidad black.

This is not a sales pitch, but an honest assessment of the boat. This boat needs to be restored, but is still very useable as it is. I haven't been out on the boat since November, defaulting to the hose and flushing the motor regularly. It needs lots of little things, but on a salary of $20K a year, and with two kids starting college, I cannot even afford to pay the insurance and fuel costs on a priest's stipend. (and I have several friends with boats).

I'm in the Destin/Ft. Walton Beach area of the panhandle of Florida, midway between Pensacola and Panama City. This boat could be safely trailered across the country, and I am willing to deliver up to 750 miles for fuel costs, so if you're in the NE, that would save you some time and driving.

I'm told current BUC value for the motor is $4,150, and I see that the NADA average book value on the motor is $3900, so I'm asking the lesser value: $3,900 for boat, motor, and trailer, or near offer. (Essentially, it's buy the motor, and get a free SeaCraft hull and trailer). I am willing to sell the hull and trailer separately, but not just the motor.

Wow, this is a sad moment in CSC history. Fr. Frank, good luck with your sale! And I just want to stop and say thank you for all the great advice you've handed out over the years! I've seen that profile pic so many times, I feel like I know the "fishalot II" personally. Hopefully a fellow CSC member will snap her up and enjoy her as much as you did!

I'm not abandoning SeaCrafts, just need to set it aside for a time. I was first a SeaCraft owner when I managed a marina that sold them, back in 1983. I'll have another someday.
