Bimini Sands on South Bimini. At least that's what my friends tell me.

I've been to Bimini 100+ times, but always on big boats, where I didn't need shore side hotel. I've stayed at most of the marinas on North Bimini... Seacrest, Blue Water, Big Game Club, and Bimini Bay, and all of those have rooms, never been in one, can't say what they are like.

My friends have taken thier small boats (17'-22") to Bimini several times, and they like Bimini Sands. Especially since The Complete Angler is gone (Sad, Sad, Sad), there is less reason to stay on North Bimini.

BTW, over my career, I've crossed the Gulfstream over 500 times, in boats ranging from 50'-120'. Someday I'll cross in one of my Seacrafts. Perhaps this is the summer for my first small boat crossing. I image the view(and pucker factor) being a bit different.

Why do we have like thoughts? Bimini might be a better plan.

I would feel very comfortable doing that run.

We stayed at the Seacrest and it was clean and rates were reasonable however they don't have a pool if someone wants one. Big Game is really nice and they do have a nice pool however they are a little more expensive.

Sandy,

My schedule is goofy, but if you're flexible, we can make this happen. A couple of "Slackers" heading across would be cool, of course Potters and Mosleys are welcome to tag along.

One of these years.......

My schedule is now goofy as well. A coworker just had his knee scoped...and I will be working more through the spring run. I need to catch a break when the great fishing is here.

Travels With Slackers could be a fun thread.

I can sleep behind the live well. I really don`t care. I just want to go.

Cheers,

Slackers in Bimini

Hey Capt. Chuck, it sure looks awful cold in Bimini. Shoot, I don't even own a sleeping bag.
