Stringer repair help

need some direction on how to repair hollow stringers. I have a 93 oceanmaster just put in a new penske transom and am looking for ideas on how to reattach the hollow stringers. I did cut them out as best I could but they do not match up real well and I would have alot of glass work to get them in. I think it might be easier to make some new sections and attach them to the exsisting section using pink foam from Lowes as a sort of form. I am using epoxy so I can use the foam. I am a bit fuzzy on the hardspot thing with stringers do I need to set them in thickened resin then tab or do I evelvate them with a degradable spacer then tab them in any help is appreciated. Greg

Ocean Smasher is built like a brick shithouse. Do not worry about hard spots. Just tab em in. :D

I did a hull extension on a 28 Smasher years ago, just tabbed in the new box stringers. Saw the boat after 5 years and not a stress crack in her. Brick shithouses. I use a box stringer on the Hermco brackets. Just tab em in.
