conventional spooling

ok so i was spooling my tld 15's and ran out of line on the spool with the reel almost half full. i really dont want to waste all that line. would you tie and line to line knot and keep on spooling ? im using these for kite fishing in case anyone was wondering.

double uni or improved albright's knot should be fine - consider the first 200 yds backing

Yep. The double uni is easier to tie consistently well. I splice 50yds of 80# braid on the rods I use for trolling diving plugs for grouper. The plugs will dive deeper with the thinner braid, but I don't want to spool the whole reel with it.

Another vote for the double uni.

Amen Dave!! They don't give that braid away by any means. I'm another vote on the uni to uni knot, with the mono as "backing"!!
