Bilge install question

I purchsed the 2 bilge pumps and I have a question on how fix them to the bottom.

It looks like they have places for screwing them down but do I first have to glass in a piece of wood to the bottom?

or would a amble amount of 5200 get the job done?

best way suggestions please!!!

I also purchased some other goodies !!

Personally I feel better knowing it's screwed down and not going to move but I have heard of guys using the 5200.

Jorge,

Mine came from the factory with a big Rule pump strapped to the center stringer with an aluminum U-shaped bracket with a strip of rubber glued to inside of bracket. It was located on stbd side all the way aft against transom. Still mounted the same way 40 years later!

like the idea of the bracket but mine has no center stringer but maybe possible attached to the transom with pleanty of 4200 for the sscrews

I have the wood for the bases and if someone is open tomorrow I'll get some resin and mat and do it that way, I also did the base for he thru hull also.

Yhanks for the input
