Transom degree?
 

Hey guys, I have a 1971 20' potter built. I'm looking to put a bracket on the back so I would like to know what the transom degree is?

You can use a carpenters framing square. From the transom slide the long end along the bottom of your keel (center of boat) toward the bow, keep the small end pointed up until it comes into contact with the transom. Note the measurement from the transom to the corner of the square. It's probably 3 1/2".

Each 1/4" of measurement equals 1 degree of rise.

So for example if your measurement is 3 1/2" it equals 14 degree's.
