27cc value?

I have found a 27cc for sale. It doesn't look like I am going to be able to do anything with it. It seems like a pretty good deal on a very rare boat. I am not selling it and have nothing to do with it, just thought it should go to a Seacraft person. I don't want to upset or offend anyone from this website so if you want information on it email me while I wait to hear if it is ok to pot here.

Is this the one up near Ken, north of Titusville?

Rlbol 09-19-2012 10:20 AM

It is on the west coast north of Tampa
I am not sure of the exact town. So what is the deal with the one in Titusville?

I'd like to hear or see more about the 27cc. I'm about 45 minutes south of Tampa and may be interested.

I would be very interested to know more. I might sell my 23, depending what happens with insurance claim, and I would LOVE to rebuild a 27'

Joel

Never mind, I found it. :)

I looked briefly but could not find any specs on this model, any idea?

Mocean Powersports in Key Largo also has a nice 27 for sale. Jack is the owner, hes a good guy, if you remember he sold Carls 27 Sea mistress for Carla last year.

It belongs to a friend of Ken's. (NoBones) A bunch of us looked at it during the gathering with Gillie at area 442. The owner was off fishing in the caribbean at the time. Send a PM to Ken if you want more info on it. Denny

It's one of these: http://www.moeslyseacraft.com/seacraft-raceboats.html. 27' long with an 8' beam and shaped like a knife! Ken said it will run off and leave a bigger Contender with 2X the power in 4' seas! Deadrise looked to be similar to a 25 Seafari (24.5 degrees), but only 2 panels on each side. (The outer panel would be out of the water anyway at racing speeds!) I think CSC member Steve (Flying Time) of Mathews Yacht Design also has one and can probably tell you a lot more about it.

We tried to talk Sandy into buying it . . . he was sort of foaming at the mouth and climbing all over it! GFS should have a bunch some pictures of it. A few were posted in this thread: http://www.classicseacraft.com/commu...ad.php?t=24235

Hey Bushwacker, Im not so sure its on of those race boats :) its a 1986 hull.

Mainly Im wondering about the beam/displacement

found this old listing for same boat (less enclosed transom)

its 9/.5 beam and about 5,000 pounds (sounds a little optimistically light to me ;))
