Inspection plates
I'm looking @ putting an in deck inspection plate over the fuel tank's sending unit .I would prefer a flush mount/water tight plate if at all possible. Any recommandations/suggestions on brand/type would be greatly appreciated.

Does'nt anyone have an inspection plate in their deck ?

I assume you looked at Bomar?
I have one for the bilge, but I am not sure how a plastic one would be underfoot. The aluminum ones are probably to big and deep vertically. I don't know about the other models, but the 20 foot console models have very modest clearance from tank to deck. And I didn't think pulling up the entire panel was that hard? |
It would seem that most of us would re-engineer our crappy designs to SC quality.

You can lift out your deck plate and cut your opening & config it for a flush mount. I have found the Armstrong brand are the best.
I have 2 of these in my deck. Also the ones used in my Hermco Bracket. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ack/plate2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...armstrong1.jpg Link---->http://www.armstrongnautical.com/deckplates.htm |
