Deer hunting '12
 

Just got done deer hunting with my boy. Had a coule nice ones come through but he didn't get them. I told him he could shoot whatever he wanted so he shot the leg off the buck (catch and release?) and I had to finish him off for him. A doe came through and he decides he wanted her too. Nothing big but had a great time, and he got to burn up 50 or so slugs. :) He is 13

Congrats to the teen, first buck at 13 will have him hooked for life - Floorboy, you best be getting him some targets. And coaching.:rolleyes: Nothing like a Midwest whitetail. Tis Tasty!

My little bro' down in Iowa just sent a text w/a 14 point thick 'un via bow. 40 yard burst and out for the count. Pretty one. I'll post if I can figure out this fancy fone:confused:.

P.S. nice boat shed you have there:cool:.

Nerves play a big part. :) He's getting better. The first year it took till the last day of the muzzleloader season before he got one.

congrats to him, I wish My first buck was that big! I hunted almost 10 years before i had a shot a one and it took 3 or 4 misses before I killed anything!
