Pair of nines
 

Went to the in-laws in central Florida for Thanksgiving. Was hoping to bag a buck, but didn't expect to hit the jackpot. I killed a nine point Wednesday morning around 8:30 and my son got another nine point at 3:30 Wednesday afternoon in almost the exact same spot.

We slip into the enemies camp and slit the throat of only one
soldier while they sleep!!
When the rest of the troops awake all they see is one of their
own dead! Mind games, it is very powerful....

To think Jr. was doing good this AM @ 7:25, only bagged an 8 point
at Area 442...:cool:

Just drive about 1 mile north of your house on US1. Across from JD State Park you can get'em with a snatch hook on your 4/0 with 100lb Power Pro right out the car window :p

MARTIN COUNTY -- Three young wild hogs running free at Jonathan Dickinson State Park in Martin County.
Mother hog broke up the photo shoot right after this shot was taken.
Taken and submitted by Bo Chambers of Port Salerno with a Nikon D40 and 70-300 mm lens.

Fortunately, both stood still long enough for a good shot, so both were neck shots. Distance was about 75 yds. Then we slit the throat to let them bleed out.

A chest shot is a lot easier, but it wastes a lot of meat, and I don't like having to search for a deer that's run 150 yds through the woods with his heart shot out.

We made some jerky while we were down south and venison black bean chili is on the menu for dinner tonight. This is the first deer I've killed in three years, so it's good to have some venison in the freezer again.

When you say "hog hunting", does that mean you want to shoot one or you want to catch one? Cracker hog hunting usually means catching. I think I might be willing to buy a ticket to watch you grab a 100 lb. woods hog by the back leg. The little ones in Capt. Chuck's post might make for good practice.

Not many 400 pounders, but tons of 150's and smaller!
There is no closed season on these pests! Lil' Kenny has a trap
set on the east side of the house. At least two to three times a week
one is on its way to the "brothers" up in Daytona!! :rolleyes:
They all but destroyed my back yard this year. (As you probably noticed when you were here several months ago)
