So if money was no object and you were starting with a bare 20SF hull and you could do as you pleased what would be your must haves?

A good boat shop to do all the work you want done. Or Strick as your neighbor.

These are probably 2 of the best you will find.

Replace all wood with foam or composite wrapped in s-glass, cut liner all around, bring out floor to hull sides, laminate cap to hull, folding jumpseats in aft corners, 18" setback bracket, jackplate, 250HO Etec, Merritt style varnished helm/console and matching post/seating, tournament style k-top, 2 forward console livewells, shorten casting platform to 18" to 22", real teak and sikaflex floor, faired flawlessly and whited out with Awlgrip.

I agree, to remove all wood for composites, use epoxy, 150 outboard on raised 25 inch transom (I think it looks better) flush mount electronics. Raised deck, scuppers out the back, narrow console, large live well attached to console up forward, swivel rod holders, below deck 50 gal tank, no t top fabricated splashwell to transom height.

X2 what Ryan said,but im biased my 20 is at Wildfire now..and Chance mine is exactly what you described but i had Birdsall make me a sweet key west style top for my fishing needs..and oh yeah if $ is no object 2 10" screens :)

Hands down the nicest 20 I've ever seen. Mark really spent the time (and money ;)) to think this one out right for his needs.

Ditto on Mark's 20SF. He sold it to a guy who has the appreciation for the work that was done!

Although there is no such thing as too much HP on a race boat, I'd vote for the 433 lb 150/175/200 hp 2.7L small block E-Tec instead of the 515 lb 3.4L 250/300 hp big block . . . it's too much weight for the 20' hull, especially with a bracket and jackplate. And you'll never be able to use all of the 275 or so hp available in that HO unless you only run it on a river in flat water!
