Let's see your rod holder spread

How do you guys have your gunnel mounted rod holders set up? I'm rearranging mine and looking for ideas. Setting up for both trolling and chunking for both tuna and stripers. I'm thinking 4 0 deg swivels - 2 just aft of midship and 2 on the aft corners; and 2 15 deg rod holders angled out a bit in between the 0 degs. Anything wrong with this setup, or any better ideas?

Thanks,
Mike

What about a swivel up in the bow? That seems to be popular with the tuna guys

These are all 30 deg. rod holders. Set at 0 deg., 15 deg., and 30 deg. from the gunnel center line. I don't use any bent butt rods so these work better than 0 deg. for me. I use this setup for tuna and striper trolling and chunking and it works fine. I don't fish for giant bluefin or I would have 0 deg. swivel holders and bent butt 80s and 130s instead of 30s and 50s. Depends on how you intend to use your boat. Good luck.

Cheers
Dave

What I like is the Hal-Lock clip. Those are really nice. :)
