Scepter Deck Stripes or no stripes?
 

Does anyone know when Seacraft changed from non skid deck stripes to solid non skid deck?
I just bought a 1979 23' Scepter (last year of Potter hull) and noticed that the deck is a solid non-skid (not stripped non skid). My son and I completed restoration on a 20SF a few months back and now we are starting work on the Scepter. The boat is in good shape and won't require much restoring. Possibly a new fuel tank and maybe re-powering. The rest is cosmetics and upgrades. Should be a lot of fun. I'll post some pics.

I'm wondering if anyone owned a Scepter or seen one that did not have stripes on deck. Possible my Scepter had the decks resurface at some point if all Seacrafts had striped decks. Anyone?

Can't tell you about a79 but I remember my 77 20 sf having the stripes

my 1977 23' Sceptre has striped decks.

My 74 Tsunami had the striped deck.

My '72 25' Seafari has the striped deck. :D

All of my seacraft boats have the stripes on the decks (73,74) except the race boat! :)

My 81 Sceptre does not have stripes. I think SIC did away with them.

My 1978 Sceptre has striped decks

My 79 has stripes and the 1981's like Tunacious says dont have any. So they must have done away with them in between that time. I think the stripes look much better.
