The last day
 

The old saying is "a boat owners happiest days are ,the day he buys his boat and the day he sells his boat". Well I had the latter one yesterday. A young gentleman and his friend came looked over the boat yesterday made a off and took it home with him. I informed him of this site,said he had been lurking on here and reading. Can't say that my last day was my happiest there where better ones in between ,I will own another seacraft someday when it is right,for the time I will be here lurking in the shadows and keeping my self informed. It has been a good time. I want to thank everybody who has helped me when I replaced the floor and or when I had motor issues, that's what makes this site so great is the vastness of information on it. Bryan

She now resides in the boca area so it is far enough away that I won't have to see it everyday. So if any body in the boca are sees a boat named "Dustin it off " that is it.

Funny that this threat has come up.
I sold my beloved "Coral Reefer" the other day, delivered it yesterday.
My O My, the emotions.
Sold it to a really nice family, long story on that one, but anyhoo, the boat will stay local.
Which will work out, for the new owners, because when (if) they bring it to me for service, that little baby boat will get some extra special care.
Rule number 1, never built a boat for a girl------. :-(

Gibbs Rules ... ;-) like that one.. as for selling... I have taken so long to get what i want... i dont know that i could ever part with it ??? i have a beat and broken seacraft waiting fo rme to give her the love and money she deserves...

Go to rule number 1, don't build a boat for a girl. You can never separate the two.
I never thought I could top C/R, then things change, life, women,boats.
I have taken my sadness, enthusiasm and expertise and funneled into a new project.
We shall see. If I had any damn rythym I would be a good C/W song writer! :-)

I guess I could have made 3-4 albums all the dam time I spent working on boats. I have found that it's best to start a boat project AFTER the girl is gone :)

Ahhhh yes, and so it is, we are in the thro's of the new project. A 1972 SeaCraft 20' SF, ummm, she will be a little bit custom.
I have regrouped, re-gassed and away we go, got some cool ideas going around in my head, summer is here and I need a boat!
Plus I have to make room for the next project, hmmmmmmmm---------. :-)
