sealing motor transome bolts
 
im repowering my 20sf I have the old evinrude off the boat and wanted to know the best way to seal the bolts when I install the new motor , certainly not 5200?

I've had good luck with BoatLife's Life Caulk thiokol-based polysulfide stuff. Stinks like hell but remains flexible and will cure under water. Don Herman likes good quality GE Silicone; he completely fills the slot around the lower bolts with it.
