wrong pic from the bow... it was too close ... also ... may i ask if anyone has a suggestion on how to get the painted boot stripe off... i want to add smart rails but need to get the boot stripes off first.

You are using the right wax!!

I used paint remover "for fiberglass" from Home Depot, it's been almost 10 years however I'm assuming they still carry it!! Took about three applications to get 90% of the paint off, then finished by sanding with 320 grit.

SWEET... thanks Don.. I have done a few boat compound jobs and that was what my buddy had me using on boats worth more than my house so it should work on my PRICELESS girl...lol

That Collinite is the best wax going (the paste version is longest lasting), but PolyGlow, although more expensive, is MUCH less work and will last at least 2-3X longer and look just as good if not better! Give it a try and you'll never wax again!

I've used oven cleaner to remove old painted on boat names/hailing ports etc.
Would probably work on the boot stripe.
